Called to Make a Difference
Founded December 7, 2008, Joy Tabernacle is one of the fastest growing congregations in the 10th Episcopal District (Texas) of the A.M.E. Church and the first successful church plant in the North Texas Annual Conference in more than 40 years. A spirit-filled church, we are called to make a difference.
Since its founding, Joy Tabernacle has continued to fulfill its mission:
We are grateful that souls are being saved and lives are being changed through the ministry of Joy Tabernacle.
To spread the Gospel, to engage in social dialogue and reformative community action, to actively seek partnerships which aid in urban recovery, to serve as an omnibus ministry, mapping out the needs of a changing urban landscape, and to develop specific ministries to meet these needs in a holistic way.
